Keeping them open and operating - safely and securely - was the key challenge in these Westpac branch refits.

We did 11 branches in the Sydney city and suburbs in all. The upgrades included technology updates, security upgrades including fly-up screens and bulletproof glass, improvements to customer areas and access.

We worked closely with project managers Bovis Lend Lease to coordinate our work within the bank's operations. Every branch was carefully planned with work scheduled at night as needed. Additional security guards were added when needed.
Every refit went to plan and budget.
